Assistive Technology

Further items that can help you to live independently in your own home.

“Assistive technology” is a term describing a range of electronic gadgets that can help you to live independently in your own home, in addition to your Careline home or mobile alarm.  These can include such things as:

  • Sensors/detectors that link to a monitoring centre via your Careline home alarm.  For example smoke, low temperature, falls, and property exit sensors.
  • Triggers/sensors that can support a person, or their carer, in and around the home.  For example bed sensors, door contacts or motion sensors linked to a pager.

Here’s what our customers say about assistive technologies

I can now feel safe when going further than my house, i.e. – in the garden or when out in the car.

Mrs W – Downham Market

I feel more secure with my Buddy around my neck. I have more confidence about going out.

Mrs S – Kings Lynn

Since having the BuddyButton, my husband has gained more confidence and enabled him to live more independently.
