Once you have a Careline alarm installed there are other pieces of equipment available which can be linked to provide additional reassurance and protection. These include smoke and carbon monoxide detectors which will activate and sound within your home and alert the control centre that a fire or carbon monoxide has been detected. The operator will call the Fire Brigade in an emergency, protecting you and your property.
Falls detectors can also be provided at a cost of £4 per week.
Other technology such as the 3 rings plug can be installed within the home to monitor activity, providing peace of mind that loved ones are ok. Simply plug a kettle or any electrical appliance into the 3 rings plug and alerts can be sent direct to a smartphone, tablet or email every time it is switched on. You and your family can also be alerted if there are any changes in behaviour or any periods of inactivity.
Grant funding may be available to cover some of the cost of this equipment if you live in west Norfolk and are in receipt of a qualifying benefit or experience memory loss. Please contact us for more information.
