How secure is the C500 Key Safe?
The C500 Key Safe was the first key safe in the UK to achieve police accreditation. It has undergone rigorous testing to obtain an independent security rating, LPS 1175 Level 1. The security rating demonstrates that the C500 provides the same security as a domestic front door.
Will a key safe effect my house insurance?
We recommend you contact your insurance provider to inform them you have a key safe.
How do I set my Key Safe Code?
There is no pre-set combination code in a Supra C500 Key Safe. You will need to decide and set your code to secure your keys. We recommend that you select a code between 5 and 7 digits and avoid using common combinations based on birth years or pin codes. You may only use one number or letter once.
Can someone guess my Key Safe code?
For someone to guess your combination would be incredibly time-consuming as there are over 4000 combinations on our Police-Accredited Supra Key Safes™.
To maximise security, we recommend selecting a combination between five and seven digits. Avoid using common combinations based on birth years or PIN codes.
How much is a Supra C500 Key Safe?
Installations of our Key Safes cost £68.85 for residents within west Norfolk and £71.85 for residents outside of west Norfolk. We offer a grant to cover the full cost of your Careline Key Safe if you live within west Norfolk and have a disability or health condition
Why should I have a Key Safe?
A Supra Key Safe™ provides greater flexibility and freedom, providing a convenient and straightforward solution to externally storing the keys to your property. It eliminates the need to issue multiple sets of keys or leave keys somewhere less secure, such as under the doormat. Additionally, a key safe provides immediate and controlled access to the property for emergency services and care workers.
Can I open a Supra C500 Key Safe without a code?
No, you can only open the Key Safe with the code. The Supra C500 has undergone rigorous testing to obtain an independent security rating, LPS 1175 Level 1. The security rating demonstrates that the C500 provides the same security as a domestic front door.
How to change the code on a Supra C500 Key Safe?
Pull open the black weather cover.
Press down on the CLEAR button (located in the centre of the C500) and then release.
Enter your existing code and then turn the OPEN dial clockwise 180° to open the lid.
Slide the white plastic instruction card on the lid towards the hinge of the Key Safe and remove.
Without closing the C500 lid, leaving the Key Safe open, turn the open dial on the front of the C500 counter clockwise 180°, back to the locked position. Confirm that the “GREEN” triangle is visible on the locking bolt.
There are twelve grey buttons on the back of the lid. Each of these grey buttons corresponds to the black buttons on the front of the C500. These buttons each have small arrows in the shape of a triangle. Arrows pointing away from the hinge are OFF and are not part of the combination. Arrows pointing towards the hinge are ON and are part of the combination.
Use the white plastic card provided (code change tool) to turn all the grey dials to the OFF position. This will reset your combination. If you encounter resistance, stop and check to make sure the locking bolt is LOCKED and the word OPEN is the correct way up on the OPEN dial.
Test to make sure your Key Safe code has now been reset by turning the OPEN dial clockwise 180°. The OPEN dial should turn freely and the locking bolt should retract without entering a code. If the OPEN dial does not turn, then there is still a grey dial set in the ON position. Make sure all the dials are in the OFF position.
Again, without closing the C500 lid, turn the open dial on the front of the C500 counter clockwise 180° back to the locked position. The word OPEN will now be the correct way up. Confirm that the “GREEN” triangle is visible on the locking bolt.
To add a number or letter to the code, use the code change tool to turn the grey dial 180° until the button pops back up completely and the arrow points in the ON direction (towards the hinge).
Once your code is set. Return the red sticker (if there is one) and the white plastic card over the back of the lid.
